Breakaway Funding

The Breakaway fund exists to help people attend Breakaway events who may otherwise be unable to because of financial hardship.

Application forms for the Breakaway fund are now available and must be completed and returned by the 1st February 2009 in order to be considered by the trustees.

Urostomy Association

The Urostomy Association was formed to assist people who are about to undergo, or have undergone surgery resulting in a Urinary Diversion/Ileal Conduit. The Urostomy Association will provide help and support to members with ANY kind of urinary diversion.

Breakaway is supported by the Urostomy Association which offers a scheme called the Valerie Kings Fund, that exists, primarily to give financial help in order to improve the quality of life of all urostomates.

Grants from the Valerie Kings fund may be available to guests of Breakaway, if they are full members of the Urostomy Association.

3H Fund

3H Fund is a charity that makes it possible for disabled people, children and adults, to have memorable and fulfilling holidays. In addition, when funds are available, they provide grants to families on low income with a physically or mentally disabled dependant to have a modest holiday in the UK.

The 3Hfund has been in touch with Breakaway and said that families who meet the above criteria can apply to them for possible funding.

IA (The ileostomy and internal pouch Support Group)

Young IA offers support to the organisation’s younger members who either have an ileostomy or an internal pouch.

Members are able to apply for help from the Young IA Bursary Fund to attend Break Away events.
